This blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Muscat from Margarita Vineyard comes from blocks planted mainly to granitic soils weathered from bedrock over millions of years. These stony soils, combined with cold fermentation and aging in stainless steel, yield a bright, fruit-forward blend with refreshing mineral accents. The 2011 Blanco offers zesty aromas of pear, citrus and honeydew melon along with an elegant floral note. The palate is clean and racy, showing brisk grapefruit flavors with accents of peach and pineapple. A cool mineral quality lingers on a crisp, quenching finish.
