Thank you so much for sharing the photographs, which are fun and
colorful. I must tell you that for the rest of the weekend we talked
about what a fabulous and very educational tour we had with you. You
are so knowledgeable about the geology and history of your winery and
generous in sharing all of that terrific information, as well as the
tales from the past and information on the sustainable farming which
you are doing there. We can''t thank you enough for being so generous
with your time.

"We were first introduced to Ancient Peaks Wines at our Stanford reunion
in late October of 2009. The 2006 Ancient Peaks Cabernet Sauvignon was
the featured wine at our elegant Alumni Dinner on the Quad. Everyone
raved. We decided to stop by the tasting room in Santa Margarita on our drive
home. The room was busy, our hosts were friendly and knowledgeable, and we
leftwith a wine club membership and a case of our two favorites.... the 2006
Cabernet Sauvignon, and the 2007 Zinfandel.
Two weeks later we returned to visit the Ancient Peaks "Margarita Vineyards".
It was a truly unique and valuable experience, combining the history of Rancho Santa
Margarita Ranch with an in-depth tour of the vineyards that far exceeded our
expectations. Our host, co-owner Karl Wittstrom, gave very generously
of his time, allowing us to experience first hand a behind-the-scenes
look at beautiful vineyards nestled among ancient mountain peaks and
located only 14 miles from the ocean.
The location and scenery were incredible. Along the way we saw hawks, deer,
wild turkeys, wildpigs, bobcats, and evidence of local brown bears. We encourage
everyone to visit the tasting room, take the tour, buy the award- winning wines, and
share your experience with friends, family, and, maybe even some see alums.
